Make a Quilt – Patchwork for Beginners

Session: 2 days

Time: 10am – 4pm both days

Level: Some experience

Maximum class size: 5

During the two day session, you will have the opportunity to complete a simple block quilt, in a cot / lap size. (Approx. 1.1mts by 1.1mts)

You will be guided through all stages of quilt making;

• cutting
• machine piecing
• sandwiching all layers together
• quilting
• binding

You will need purchase fabric before the two day session.

Fabric requirements;

• Quilt top; 6 x 25cm by WOF (width of fabric).
• Backing; 1.4mts by WOF
• Binding; 50cm by WOF

Wadding and threads are included in the price of the course. Sewing machines can be provided, as well as other equipment. Please state at the time of booking your requirements.
